The ‘mobile phone’ that makes the eyes lazy

Keeping electronic devices like mobile phones, tablets, tablets close to the eyes puts strain on the muscles. This increases the risk of myopia among children. To avoid this, we urge parents to inculcate the habit of reading books in their children.

Exposure to sunlight both in the morning and in the evening not only provides vitamin D but also prevents myopia. Looking at a mobile phone until bedtime can inhibit the secretion of the ‘melatonin’ hormone; This does not lead to deep sleep. This affects children’s intellectual and physical health.

If you instill interest in things like reading a book, drawing, going outside and playing, mobile phone will not generate interest. On the other hand, if you get used to the mobile phone, it is difficult to get out of it. Eye examination is mandatory before admission to school. If childhood myopia is not corrected, it is more likely to develop into lazy eye called ‘Amblyopia’. This can be avoided by wearing glasses of the correct power for myopia by the age of 12. After that, correcting lazy eyes is very difficult.
